Baliff's are Confusing...and can't find a script...

Seriously, they really are.

So, they had an arrangement to come around on the 25th to either take money or take possessions, it's now the 28th and still no Baliffs.

This is fine with me and Tim really because, well, we have the money owed now (which will be paid back as soon as those people at the Council and Benefits etc. etc. sort themselves out...*darkly mutters words unfit for an innocent blogs screen*

It's just confusing, we also got a letter from them answering our query (a letter was written a little while ago asking about possessions that don't actually belong to us that they listed down to take if we didn't hand over money.) saying that we should just keep the agreement we have and if it's broken they'll be around to reassess.

Only...by them being late doesn't that mean that they are breaking the agreement?

Never mind. That doesn't matter much.

I am having a little trouble tracking down a script for a show. There are auditions on the 1st of September for the show 'Stags and Hens' being done by 'Theze Guyz' now you can put yourself forward but if you are cast after your audition (which takes about 15 minutes, during which you give a 5 minute monologue), then you have to provide your own script. Wonderful. Fantastic....Can't afford to buy and can't find a bloody on line copy anywhere! It's driving me slightly nuts as I really want to audition. It's the only auditions open that I can find locally at the moment. Will probably have to go down to the library and see if I can get it to borrow...then copy it out...by hand. That will make my hand ache.

Anything to be back at acting properly. I mean acting through Time Limit as it's being written to show my partner what each scene will do is all very nice...but it's hardly something that I can put in my C.V. or that anyone will take seriously for that matter.

The Script for Time Limit is coming along nicely. I've asked (and been initially accepted) to take the role of Terri Mulligan - Jeff Orman's Training assistant and medic. She is a main character, but isn't in it for very long. I'll probably still audition for the part though... just to show that I CAN audition.

Website design being updated so it's spiffy and well...so people can read it really. The colour scheme is/was a little violent on the eyes. So I'm updating it to a version 1.5 .

Anyway, Scripts to hunt down, stuff to do. I gotta jet.

Au Revoir

1st Post

I don't know how many times I've tried to keep a blog. It's countless.

So yet again, I find myself trying to rather fruitlessly follow one of my dreams in the hope that it will come true.

Acting has been one of my passions since I was little. I was acting and writing scripts for a long time, quite possibly from before I can remember properly, but my memory was never the best in my early years. :-)

I have one qualification outside of standard English and Maths C&G level 1 and that is in Performing Arts. Okay, so it's only a BTEC Introductory Diploma...but I got a distinction in it and I'm proud of it. I did go on to do the BTEC 1st Diploma in Acting, however I fell ill and wasn't able to continue on in the course. I hope someday to get back to it.

I also know that I have the added part against me that I do not have 'recognised' experience in the field beyond the course, Stagecoach for one year (couldn't afford it any more), and having done plays at Church and Bible Club (things which I now do not attend due to my change in belief system).

But I do recognise the fact that no one began in the business with lots of experience, so everyone began somewhere.

I'm just hoping that I get a lucky break at some point.

Anyway, without further ado, I will no longer bore you to death, and will get on with the rest of my day, I've got to go anyway.

Love,
Becka.
